There is a new global currency called Reserva that is not owned or controlled by any one country.
Each player controls a country's central bank and has their own currency. The goal is to
accumulate the most wealth by the end of the game.
Because you can print as much of your own currency as you want, it doesn't count towards your
wealth.
Wealth is defined as your total currency reserves, as multiplied by each currency's exchange rate
to Reserva. Reserva is always worth 1 wealth.
You build wealth by bidding in Reserva auctions and trading with other players.
- Each turn, players vote for which currency the next Reserva auction will be held in.
- Players then vote on how much Reserva will be auctioned in that currency. The median vote
sets the auction size.
- During the auction, bid with the selected currency and choose the highest exchange rate you
are willing to pay.
- The strongest bids win Reserva. Winning bidders all pay the same clearing price, based on
the lowest successful bid. This is known as a dutch auction.
- Auction proceeds are redistributed to the other players, so every bid can enrich your rivals
as well as yourself.
- The winner is the central bank with the most wealth at the end of the final turn. If bad
guys are in play and they occupy all of the top spots, all bad guys win together.
Bad guys
- Bad guys are players who have the ability to collude and cheat to win the game.
- Every game has a 50% change of having bad guys in play.
- If you're a bad guy, you'll be notified at the beginning of the game and you'll be able to
see who the other bad guys are. Good guys will not know who the bad guys are, how many there
are, or even if there are any bad guys in the game.
- Bad guys have the ability to send each other messages that are only visible to them.
- In addition to being able to win individually be having the most wealth at the end of the
game, bad guys can also win as a group by making sure that the good guys come in last place.
